![]() ![]() It appears that the devices work as they should, but that I'm missing a setting somewhere, but I looked on the forum and in the manual for a solution with no luck, so now here I am. If you do not follow the installation instructions TO THE LETTER, they probably will not install correctly. Setup -> Preferences -> MIDI: Default Thru Instrument is set to 'First selected MIDI track. M-Audios MIDISPORT drivers are a clusterfsck. Our special Anniversary-edition MIDISPORT products commemorate this success with a brand-new look. This overwhelming success inspired the creation of an entire MIDISPORT line designed to meet the varying needs of diverse music makers. Those firmware files are distributed as part of the download for M-Audio's last 32 bit driver v3.5.3. The MIDISPORT 2x2 was first introduced in 2000and quickly became the world’s most popular USB MIDI interface. Support is currently missing for some of the later models which used different firmware. Setup -> MIDI -> Input devices: all MIDI inputs are checked, and the MIDISPORT's inputs both show up there. Not all firmware for every MIDISPORT device M-Audio produced is distributed with the Linux driver. ![]() I have the latest drivers installed for both the audiophile and the MIDISPORT, even twice. BUT! When I record on that MIDI or instrument track, it does record everything I play, and when I play it back, suddenly there is sound! And there is no sound coming from the Xpand or whatever plugin I use at that moment. When playing the masterkeyboard I see no signal coming in on the selected MIDI-track, or instrument track. For MIDI I connected an M-Audio MIDISPORT 2x2 and there the trouble starts: Soundcard is M-Audio Audiophile 2496 and that works great. ![]() I recently installed PT9 on my i7 desktop in Windows 7 64-bit. ![]()
